Breaking the Silence Series

We envision a stigma-free community where everyone can talk openly about their mental health journeys.

Breaking the Silence

This is a series of panel discussions to break the stigma and raise awareness of mental health challenges and illnesses. We provide information and space for discussion on topics that are often put under the rug, brushed off, and misunderstood through cultural and social norms. Mental health illness can affect anyone regardless of age, race, ethnicity, religion, economic status, etc.

This mental health panel is rooted in differentiating culture from faith. Discussion is based on scientific facts, professional experience, social resources, and spirituality.

Beyond the Plate: Understanding Eating Disorders

We are thrilled to reveal the next installment of our resounding Breaking the Silence Series!

Did you know that approximately 9% of the US population, equivalent to 28.8 million Americans, will experience an eating disorder during their lifetime? That's nearly 1 in 10 individuals!

February marks the beginning of National Eating Disorder Awareness Week and what better way to partake than to come together as a community, engaging with professionals and community leaders to learn about the realities of eating disorders and discover preventive measures.

This discussion is about support, empathy, and building a stronger, more resilient community. This is a safe space for people to share their stories, learn from professionals and get their questions answered. Come one, come all!

This is a FREE event so grab your seat today!
